Inspire 925 worked with the innovation department of DPD Switzerland to organize an Innovation Day in collaboration with the ETH Spin-off Community. The startup pitches took place amidst of DPD’s package delivery logistics hall and offered DPD Switzerland’s top management and innovation team insights into state-of-the-art technologies that will shape the future of logistics. In particular, the founders of Scandit, Beekeeper, antavi, ElectricFeel, 3db Technologies, modum.io, Senozon, Insightness and Rapyuta Robotics showcased their solutions covering a wide range of technologies, ranging from blockchain and robotics to sensors, big data and drones.

Tilmann Schultze, CEO DPD Switzerland who took part in the Innovation Day, highlighted: „DPD is the ideal partner for internationally ambitious Swiss start-ups with a flair for logistics: As one of the market leaders and innovation drivers in parcel delivery in Europe, DPDgroup can enable them to expand from their national market into new international markets.”

After the pitch session moderated by Inspire 925 Managing Partner Sunnie Groeneveld, the startups and DPD managers engaged in a marketplace format where further discussions about the presented technological innovations ensued. The day ended with a short workshop on the challenges and opportunities of „Same Day Delivery.”

Tobias Clemens, Head of the Innovation Board of DPD Switzerland, says about the Innovation Day and his collaboration with us: “It was a fantastic experience to work with Inspire 925 for the preparation and execution of our DPD Innovation Day. The start-up world being a quite new territory for our company, Inspire 925 guided us through a multi-stage process that allowed us to identify 9 promising start-up companies with a strong fit to our industry. They also helped us by structuring the programme and by facilitating the event.”
